How to move around Valencia

Biking around

Valenbisi is Valencia’s public bike-sharing system. It’s quite convenient and affordable. You can rent a bike from any of the numerous Valenbisi stations around the city. Here’s how it works:

  1. Sign Up: You can get a weekly or annual subscription (Valenbisi Website).
  2. Pick Up: Use your card or the Valenbisi app to check out a bike from any station.
  3. Ride: The first 30 minutes are free! After that, small fees apply.
  4. Return: Drop the bike off at any station.

If you prefer something lighter and more comfortable, you can also rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops around the city.

Taking Metro and Bus

Valencia’s public transport system is excellent, and the Suma 10 card offers great value for money. Here’s how it works:

Zones You Need to Know: A and AB+

  • Zone A: Covers the city center.
  • Zone AB+: Includes travel from and to the airport.

A single ride from the airport to the city center (Zone AB+) costs 4.80 EUR. However, a Suma 10 card, which provides 10 rides in Zone AB+, costs only 20 EUR.

You can share one card among several people by passing through one by one. And obviously, you can use that card inside the city as well.

The Suma 10 card works for buses too, making it a convenient option. Just tap your card when you board, and you’re good to go.

Taking a Taxi

Taxis are always a comfy and safe option, especially after we danced all day and night. They aren’t too expensive here, and sharing a ride can make it even cheaper if you’re heading in the same direction.

How to Get a Taxi:
Usually, the best way is to catch one on the street. There are also apps like Free Now for traditional taxis, Cabify, and Uber.
